Bagamoyo Town is located an hour north of Dar es Salaam. The oldest town of Tanzania is also a World Heritage Site. The Town was famous for the legendary ivory and slave trading port.
It is a perfect day excursion for visitors who love to cruise in ships. During the 19th century, this spot became a famous place for ivory traders, which was previously a fishing spot. There are also numerous ruins, a museum and a mosque dating back to the 12th century to explore.
