Pangani is a historical town in north-eastern Tanzania. The small town is located 50kms south of Tanga. Located at the mouth of Pangani River, Pangani Town collects its water from Mt Kilimanjaro and Meru to the Indian Ocean.
The coastlines of clean beaches are home to Green Turtles breeds. The well-known historic sites, coral reefs, old Port as well as great diversity of tropical marine dwellers contribute to the beauty of the town.
The long history of the town believed to have Arabic, German, Asian and British Colonial rules influence. This place is a blend of Swahili, Arab, colonial traditions and modern hospitality together. The town is now an important commercial centre, producing sisal, corn (maize), bananas, and cassava.
